Winsford Regeneration - Launch of Public Consultation

A really exciting opportunity to help shape the redevelopment and character of the town centre in Winsford.

I have today received notification from Cheshire West and Chester Council have launching an online survey to enable residents to have their say on the Winsford Town Centre Masterplan, building upon the work they have already undertaken with local town centre businesses and market traders.

The consultation responses will also play an important role in supporting the next stage of the Council’s application under the Future High Street Fund.

The Future High Streets Fund is intended to help local high streets evolve and adapt to changes and encourage vibrant town centres where people live, shop, use services, and spend their leisure time.  The Fund will support and fund local areas’ plans to make their high streets and town centres fit for the future.  I was pleased to support and contribute to the Council’s application and delighted by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government announcement in July that the application was proceeding to the next stage of the assessment process.

This is a really exciting opportunity to help shape the redevelopment and character of the town centre in Winsford and I would strongly encourage you to put forward your thoughts and views to the Council.

For further information and to complete the survey, please visit the Winsford Regeneration Consultation page on the Council’s website.

The consultation closes on Sunday, 12 January 2020.
